Our restaurant specialises in North Norwegian cuisine made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Malangen Resort has a total of 86 accommodation units and can accommodate up to 360 guests.

Guide to the Sàmi culture

We are now hiring guides for the winter season 2017-2018.

We are currently looking for one person to guide our 'Sami Storytelling' excursions. This activity is offering our guests an introduction to the Sami cultury by using stories, history, legends, music and food as a resource. The person we are looking for needs to be highly knowleable about everything involved in the lives of the Sàmi people today as well as in the past. We are looking for a storytelling Sami guide with good knowledge of Sami culture, and who is able to perform yoiks for the guests and wear the traditional clothing, in a culturally appropriate manner. We are looking for someone who is not the slightest amount afraid of putting their entire personality, charracter and knowledge on the table to offer the guests an unforgettable experience.

We are looking someone who speaks fluent English and preferably gets along with Norwegian/ Swedish/ Danish also if needed. Skills in German, French, Spanish, Russian or Italian are highly appreciated (but not required) as our guests are very international. The person we are looking for has to possess at least B- driving license, have experience from driving on icy roads and have at least basic skills needed in the wilderness. Good first-aid skills and the ability to also use them if needed are extremely important. The peson we are looking for the meaning of extraordinary customer service and is willing to make that small extra effort to guarantee a unique experience for our guests.
